Born in Aichi Prefecture in 1958. After graduating from Tokai University, worked as a magazine editor and at a marketing research company before becoming an independent writer. While writing mainly in the field of science and mathematics, he also teaches at cram schools, seminars, and culture schools. He has given many lectures and written many books, especially on probability.
