Abstract

STUDIO GHIBLI was established when "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind" was going to screening.
The trajectory that has continued to make feature-length animation works has been a series of ups and downs.
From planning born out of trial and error, to production sites that struggle with schedules, advertising strategies that capture the times, and unique management methods, all of the processes are thoroughly covered for each of the 27 works up to the latest work.
A 40-year story that will now be revealed, edited by Toshio Suzuki.

Toshio Suzuki

Born in 1948 in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture. Studio Ghibli Representative Director Producer.
While involved in the editing of Animage at Tokuma Shoten, he participated in the establishment of STUDIO GHIBLI in 1985, and since 1989 has worked full-time at Studio Ghibli.
From then on he produced almost all theatrical productions.
