Born in Tochigi Prefecture. Graduated from Tama Art University. Received an honorable mention at the 33rd Kodansha Picture Book Newcomer Award for "Onigiri Ninja". Active mainly in book illustration and picture books. Works include "Kakekko Kakekko" (text by Hirotaka Nakagawa), "Neko desu." (both published by Kodansha), "Iki" (written by Hirotaka Nakagawa, Alice-kan), "Kodomo Kaigi" (Froebel-kan), and many others.
