Abstract
Darning brooches are a way to preserve beloved clothes and fabrics. Noguchi Hikaru, the pioneer of darning, introduces how to make brooches without a pattern and with virtually no chance of failure. This needlework allows you to pursue your passions using only mending techniques, fostering a sense of attachment. Noguchi Hikaru, active on television and in magazines, clearly explains how to make darning brooches with accompanying photos. From beginners to intermediate crafters, you can learn the joy of creating while simultaneously mastering mending techniques, all at your own pace. One of the charms of darning brooches is that they allow you to preserve beloved clothes and accessories that you couldn't bear to throw away. We'll explain how to make them using fabric and thread you already have at home.
