Abstract
Semiconductors are now embedded in virtually everything around us, impacting everything from our daily lives and businesses to healthcare, education, and even national security. However, despite their crucial role in supporting society as a whole, their importance remains largely unknown to many. This book comprehensively covers semiconductors, from frequently discussed news topics to fundamental information on their technology, the global manufacturing processes and value chains, and the background of the global power struggle. Furthermore, it examines Japan's current situation—once the world's leading semiconductor manufacturer—and the future of semiconductors. With abundant illustrations and diagrams, you should be able to understand semiconductor technology and the political landscape in just two hours!
