Author’s Information
Professor of Guitar at Berklee College of Music. Born in 1965 in Kyoto Prefecture. A Japanese guitarist and guitar instructor who is active on the world stage. He has taught at Berklee College of Music for 33 years, since 1993. His past students include many world-renowned musicians such as John Mayer and Eric Krasno. He also offers private and correspondence lessons for Japanese students, and his unique lessons, which emphasize groove, are highly regarded worldwide. The instructional books he has created from his experience have become long-selling products supported by many guitar learners. He specializes in groove-filled improvisational playing rooted in the blues, and is active as a performer, giving live performances in various locations around the world. Many students from all over the world gather daily at his online guitar lesson site, "Guitar Wisdom".
