Author’s Information

Born in Osaka in 1969. Graduated from Osaka University of Arts, Department of Literary Arts. Debut in 1993 after winning the 4th Tetsuya Ayukawa Award for Freezing Island. In 2008, her cycling road race novel Sacrifice won the 10th Haruhiko Oyabu Award and placed 2nd in the Japan Booksellers' Award. Her numerous works include the Bistro Pas Mal series, the Kiriko, the Cleaner Detective series, Half a Suitcase, and The Cafe for Occasional Travelers.
