Author’s Information
Born in Chiba Prefecture in 1968. After graduating from university and working as an office employee, he won the 26th Shosetsu Suiri New Writer Award in 2004 with Killing Time. The following year, Daimatsu-zushi no Kimyo na Kyaku (The Strange Customer at Daimatsu Sushi) was nominated for the 58th Mystery Writers of Japan Award in the Short Story category. In 2010, his book 4-Page Mysteries—a collection of 60 ultra-short mystery stories, each spanning just five pages of manuscript paper—became a hot topic. His works include Kyuhaime ni wa Hayasugiru (Too Early for a Ninth Glass), Rosutaimu ni Nazotoki wo (Solving Mysteries in Injury Time), Anata no Neko, Oazukari Shimasu (We'll Take Care of Your Cat), and 4-Page Mysteries: 60 Curious Cases.
