A railway photographer who has ridden all the lines operated by JR companies presents a "ride report" and a total of 1068 "photographs" in a massive 384-page volume of overwhelming quality and quantity. Author’s Information

Born in Nagano Prefecture in 1954. Graduated from the Department of Photography, College of Art, Nihon University. In 1993, he completed an 88-day round-the-world trip using only land and sea routes, without using airplanes. In 1994, he received the Transportation Book Award for his book "Railway World Dream Journey". To date, he has photographed 95 countries and traveled 250 times. He has authored 114 books, including "Let's Go by Train! JR + Private Railway Sightseeing Train Encyclopedia" and "Let's Go by Train! JR Limited Express Encyclopedia". He is a member of the Japan Professional Photographers Society and the Japan Travel Writers Association. He is also a visiting professor at Tokyo Transportation Junior College.
