A book version of the series that ran in the magazine "KATEIGAHO"! After experiencing a time when it was difficult to travel freely, the style of adult travel is undergoing a transformation. The author traveled to 36 locations throughout the archipelago, aiming for "sacred places" related to the origins of Japan, over three years from 2022 to 2024, which can be called a period of transformation. The distance traveled was approximately 70,000 kilometers. The author, who did all the photography (with just a smartphone!) and interviews by herself, introduces the points of her journey that impressed her, along with breathtaking photographs of the scenery. One of the highlights is seeing what the author realized and how their experiences and encounters during their travels changed them. This book can be enjoyed both as a travel guide and as a travel essay.

Author’s Information

Essayist and numerologist. Born in Tokyo in 1969. Graduated from Keio University, Faculty of Letters, majoring in Aesthetics and Art History. From 2022 to 2024, she single-handedly handled the research, photography, and writing for the serialized feature "Visiting Japan's Sacred Sites" in the magazine "Katei Gaho." She has many fans, especially for her stunning landscape photographs taken with her iPhone. As a numerologist, her published works include "The Real You That Your Birthday Reveals" and "More! The Real You That Your Birthday Reveals" (both published by Sekai Bunka Publishing).
