Author’s Information
Tokyo Sanpopo
A husband-and-wife duo: Yoshiko Nakagawa, originally from Osaka, and Manabu Nakagawa, who grew up in Tokyo’s shitamachi (traditional downtown districts). Starting with their blog “Tokyo Sanpopo,” launched in 2010, they share information through local blogs. Exploring not only Tokyo but places all over Japan, they introduce sightseeing spots and recommended places to eat from a reader’s perspective, with photos, inspiring people to get out and explore.
Yoshiko Nakagawa
Born in Osaka Prefecture. A keen birdwatcher, she sometimes spends an entire day walking through the woods to spot wild birds. A lover of salty snacks, she adores soy sauce senbei (rice crackers) and takoyaki (octopus dumplings). Her shoulders are permanently stiff.
Manabu Nakagawa
Born in Tokyo. Apart from a period away, he has lived in Tokyo for more than 35 years. He contributes to various media as a walking blogger and a travel and food writer. A true sweet tooth, he dearly loves cafés, coffee, and sweets. Although he can’t drink much, he loves the atmosphere of izakaya (Japanese pubs).
