Abstract

From the popular palindrome artist Kojiyajiko comes a palindrome picture book that will make you laugh, cry, and feel strangely energized at the end. Examples include: • Five gorillas lined up at the gate • A bad mammoth is at my house every day, it's annoying • Gratin cooked slowly for two hours, then ding! Fire! • When the curtain rises, there are ogres! Ghosts! Devils! • I cry at night, but I become stronger • I'll just try my best lightly, because my turn to shine will come. From humorous palindromes to deeply moving ones, this diverse world of wordplay is lovingly depicted by popular illustrator Ippei Hirasawa. Perfect for reading alone, as well as for parent-child read-alouds and story time. Laugh out loud, be amazed by the wonders of words. After finishing the book, the fun can continue endlessly as you create your own palindromes or imagine pictures from them. Each palindrome is independent, yet as you turn the pages, they connect like a story—a truly unique picture book.
