Abstract

As the unfamiliarity of telework continues due to the Corona disaster, more and more people are becoming vaguely anxious and stressed out. The Japan Anger Management Association has received many comments such as "I'm getting to quick-tempered," "I can't concentrate on work because I'm getting frustrated," and "I'm upset with myself because I can't get my work done.
"Anger management is not a denial of anger, but a method to control it and promote appropriate communication. It is gaining more and more attention as the burden on the body and mind increases in the midst of the Corona disaster.

The ability to handle one's own anger is also a required skill.
The word "anger" may conjure up images of "superciliousness" and "power-harassing bosses," but even minor personal frustrations are a form of anger. Controlling anger is not limited to those at the top, but is a skill that everyone needs in order to collaborate and maximize performance in a flat organization.
There are various approaches to solving problems in this book, such as "don't worry about what you can't control," "convert anger into a request," "train your ability to go through the motions," and "don't say 'I should,'" but the author focuses on what she has actually advised. The author's advice is mainly based on what she has actually done, and includes stories of failure to make it more concrete.
Blaming yourself, wondering why you can't do something like this or why your will is weak, is also a form of anger. With more and more people teleworking and spending more time with themselves, controlling anger is essential for improving productivity and maintaining health.
