Abstract
The movie "Tora Tora Tora! " was dismissed by Akira Kurosawa soon after its crank-in, and the film was completed and released with a change in the initial plan. Tsukasa Kondo, the art chief who worked on the film consistently until the end, was in charge of two warships, the battleship Nagato and the aircraft carrier Akagi, which were built on the coast of Ashiya-cho, Onga-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture. Many of the staff who participated in the film have already passed away. Akira Kurosawa and Yoshiro Muraki, the art director, as well as Hideo Oguni and Ryuzo Kikushima, the scriptwriters, are no longer with us. Tsukasa Kondo, who was one of the few surviving witnesses to the film, tells us a piece of the truth, which gives us a clue to understand everything.

Joined Takarazuka Film Studio when it opened in 1951. As chief of art, he was in charge of many masterpieces. Worked on films with famous directors such as Keisuke Kinoshita, Mikio Naruse, Shiro Toyoda, Yuzo Kawashima, and Seiji Hisamatsu. He has worked with such famous directors as Keisuke Kinoshita, Mikio Naruse, Shiro Toyoda, Yuzo Kawashima and Seiji Hisamatsu. at the request of director Akira Kurosawa from the beginning. Even after the incident of the director's resignation, he worked in the art team until the end of the film. After that, he worked as an executive director of Takarazuka Pictures.
