Abstract
Kei Ohara, who works as a literary agent in New York, reveals the steps for Japanese authors to make their international debut from the perspective of the entertainment industry. In addition to the financial aspects, production process, distribution, PR, and other introductory aspects, she explains the role of the agent, popular genres, stories, and character structure, using actual examples from Fuminori Nakamura, Naoki Higashida, Banana Yoshimoto, and others. In the second part, Yang Yong-hee, director of the movie "Kazoku no Kuni," a freelance editor, and a publishing platform developer will discuss how to make the most of digital, how to take off the pants of the mind, and the importance of socializing.

She grew up in Japan and the U.S., and was involved in Kodansha's U.S. subsidiary and Random House's partnership with Kodansha as a bilingual agent. In 2008, She became independent as an agent for copyright business. She has written several books, including "Lupo Ebook Daikoku Amerika" (2010, ASCII Shinsho) and its updated version, Ebook.
