Abstract

The origins of their civilizations, the purposes surrounding their
construction, and of course the places of construction all vary,
but the resultant shapes are coincidentally quite similar – We are
talking about the “pyramid-shape” of course. Why were ancient
humans attracted to that particular shape? We asked experts to
write down their ideas on the mysteries of pyramids that have
gradually come to be revealed. This book presents the resultant
“extensive” and “in-depth” information.
This book defines a pyramid (or a structure called a “pyramid”)
as “an ancient stone structure in the shape of a quadrangular
polyhedron” that exists throughout the world. Here we have
an “illustrated reference book of worldwide pyramids” where
excavations and research performed by experts was used in its
compilation. A number of precious pyramid interior photographs
and 3D images, as well as illustrations, are included. In addition to
the use of illustrations, this book offers thorough commentaries
on the differences between past and present pyramid shapes.
