Abstract

The main character is a boy who truly loves his father. He sometimes has trouble sleeping because he worries about what might happen should his father die. "Don’t worry. I will never die. Even if a meteorite falls on me,” he says, “I will hit a home run with my baseball bat! If a dragon comes, I will cook a dragon steak and eat it! If I’m bit by a poisonous snake, I’ll be fine if you call me an ambulance.” His father responds to each of his son’s worries cheerfully and playfully to will them away. Behind the absurd and humorous ideas that arise on each page, the father’s sincerity towards his son will surely move the reader. This is a story of great warmth and humor of how father will never die, even if he were to suddenly disappear before his son’s eyes.
