Abstract

Death appears before me and advises that I will be dead in fifteen seconds – am I able to accuse the person who shot me, and make a revenge before Death takes me? A collection of four stories in which characters need to solve mysteries where fifteen seconds is crucial to the coming death, this highly original and tricky set of stories was highly praised and gained notable attention on publication.

A short drama “ATO JYUGOBYO DE SHINU” based on the story "JYUGOBYO (Fifteen Seconds)" was aired in TALES OF THE UNUSUAL 2021 SUMMER EDITION by Fuji Television.

Author’s Information

Born Aichi Prefecture. “JYUGOBYO (FIFTEEN SECONDS)” won the 12nd Mysteries! Honorable Prize in 2015. The tricky and unique battle between the killed and killer was hailed as highly original, and included in the annual anthology of the Japan Mystery Writer’s Association.
