Abstract

I'm not alone anymore. A novel based on the latest work written by director Mamoru Hosoda himself!

Suzu, a 17-year-old high school student, lives with her father in a rural town in Kochi. Her mother died in an accident when she was a child, and she has been closed off from the real world. One day, her best friend invites her to join "U," a huge virtual space on the Internet called "another reality," as an avatar named Belle. Suzu (Belle) quickly becomes a diva who attracts attention from all over the world with her incomparable singing voice, which she has been hiding for a long time. In the "U", she meets a mysterious being who is feared as a "dragon". Her encounter with the ferocious yet somehow lonely dragon leads Suzu to face her inner doubts and weaknesses. A story of miraculous encounters and growth led by a song!
