Abstract

"Wicked Whisperer (嗤う淑女)" is a very popular series by best-selling author Shichiri Nakayama. Sold over 180,000 copies in total (as of June 2024), and is currently in its third volume.

The series is also popular overseas, with "Wicked Whisperer (嗤う淑女)" translated into Korean, Thai, and traditional Chinese, and "Wicked Whisperer II: The Wicked Whisperer Returns" and "Wicked Whisperer III: Two Wicked Whisperers" also published in Korean.

The fourth book in the series is serialized in Web Jnovel, a literary web magazine by Jitsugyo no Nihon Sha.

Born in Gifu Prefecture in 1961, he won the 8th "This Mystery is Amazing!" Grand Prize for "Sayonara Debussy" and made his debut the following year.
Since then, he has continued to write energetically, focusing on mysteries.
His many recent books include "Silver Age Detective Agency: Shizuka Grandma and the Care-requiring Detective 2," "Concerto of Revenge," "Boundary Line," "Rasputin's Garden," "Hippocrates' Regrets," and "Noh Masked Prosecutor's Excitement," among others.
