Abstract

“Everyone is the one and only. No one can replace me. I am special, we are all special.”
A former elementary school teacher and picture book author, Mr. Shigenori Kusunoki, has been reading this poem with children for 20 years. Children living in the present day will feel "special" and “wonderful” about themselves and about someone else---. This poem and the expressive pictures will give us a warm message that everyone is different and everyone is special. English translation is included.

After working as an elementary school teacher, he is active in the creation of children's literature and lectures. He has authored more than 130 works and is widely read in Japan and abroad.
