Abstract

A humorous picture book about six frogs who accidentally forget to hibernate.

The author's debut work, "Kaeru-Jan" won the 11th Libro Picture Book Award in 2020. This is the second work by Aki Tsuruta, a young picture book artist with a strong love for frogs.
Six friendly frogs are lazily lounging around at home. What? What's going on? The TV, phone, and radio aren't working. Oh, no! We've missed our hibernation!
They panicked and tried to go to sleep, but they couldn't sleep at all. When they looked outside, they saw a snowy landscape they had never seen before! It's their first winter and their first time in the snow, and they are so excited...!

The fun of turning the pages, the comical storyline with onomatopoeia, and the heartwarming ending!
The children at the nursery school where the story was read to them were also very interested in the cute frog!
