Abstract

Cancer (malignant tumors) is now a leading cause of death not only for humans but also for cats.
This is due to the increase in the number of cats kept exclusively indoors, which has led to fewer deaths from infectious diseases and traffic accidents, and an increase in average life expectancy. This aging population is a sign that cats are receiving health care like members of the family and are being cared for until their final days, but on the other hand, it also poses a dilemma in that more cats are suffering from cancer.

So what if your cat gets cancer?
Some of you may be grieving at the mere thought of it, while others may be in the midst of their own cat's battle with the disease. Cancer is one of the most powerful diseases, and those who are close to cats who are unable to express their pain are also overwhelmed with anxiety. We want to save them somehow" and "We want to do everything we can. That is why they desperately want to gather information.

However, the Internet is full of information on animal cancer, including information that applies to dogs but not to cats and treatments that have not yet been proven to be effective. Once you are drowned in the wave of information, your anxiety may increase and you may end up not being able to cure the cancer that can be cured.

In light of this situation, our goal in producing this book was to provide owners with access to correct knowledge about cancer in cats. Under the full supervision of Dr. Tetsuya Kobayashi, a leading veterinary clinical oncologist who treats animals with cancer on a daily basis and is also involved in the development of highly effective treatment methods, this book carefully explains the characteristics of feline cancer, possible prevention and early detection, testing, and radical and palliative treatment methods, with illustrations and photographs.

To face the irreplaceable life. We hope that this book will also be of effective use as an emotional support for owners.
