Abstract
Six men and women join a long established movie company in 1989 – the first year of the Heisei era - with high hopes and dreams.
Now nearly thirty years later, movies are created as data and are no longer films, theaters all over the country are taken over by cinema complexes.
The six gather at an old movie theater in the suburbs to watch an old movie and recall the “film relay” that took place twenty-six years ago, a race against time to hand deliver one film to theatres all over Japan.
The industry has changed greatly, and the six may not be leading the ideal life they had dreamed in 1989, but have they become the people they had aspired twenty-six years ago?
A sometimes bitter sweet and heart-warming story by the author of the bestselling “Macan Maran” series.
