Abstract

A cat has nine lives.
A society of "cats with nine lives" located right next to the human world. There are a special group of cats that had nine lives and were given names according to the number of lives they had left.
Mikumo (3 lives remaining) wishes to repay Yashio's kindness (8 lives remaining), who died for the first time in order to save her.

Yashio tells Mikumo "My policy is not to die." and "Stop being foolhardy." Mikumo feels his kindness and her feelings for Yashio grow fonder. However, Yashio is quite a character and does not look at Mikumo even though Mikumo is so beautiful.
Mikumo finally becomes Yashio's business partner, but...?
