Abstract

In Japan in the 2060s, "MRI investigation" has been implemented. It uses the brain of a dead person to recreate the last images seen by the deceased.
The members of the Ninth Forensic Medical Laboratory of the National Research Institute of Police Science, as known as "the Ninth," who specialize in this technology, are forced to confront horrific cases and human psychology, and are also subjected to a strong prejudice.
