Abstract

A book that explains in an easy-to-understand manner how to make 12 leather pouches and pochettes that you can actually make and use. Beginning with an explanation of the necessary tools and leather, the basic and applied techniques for making each item are explained firmly with photographs. Even those who are new to leather craft can enjoy it. The items listed are mainly internally sewn, and all are hand-sewn. It comes with an easy-to-use full-scale paper pattern, so you can start making works as soon as you have the tools and leather.

A leather crafter who presides over "Gak. Leather works", a workshop and classroom for hand-sewn leather crafts and leather carvings in Natori City, Miyagi Prefecture. He self-taught leather crafting techniques that he started as a hobby. After working at a factory for various leather products and a leather craft material store, he became independent and is currently managing a classroom and producing works at a workshop opened in May 2019. In addition, he was invited to the classrooms of manufacturers, shops, and leather crafters with whom he has exchanges in Japan, and also served as a lecturer for various themes such as hand-sewn to sewing work production and maintenance of various sewing machines and leather-skiving machines.
