Born in Kagawa Prefecture in 1956. Graduated from Waseda University, School of Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering Department in 1979. His career includes Professor at Shibaura Institute of Technology. Ph.D. in Engineering. Former Vice President of The Illuminating Engineering Institute of Japan. Specializes in visual psychology and lighting environment. Author of “Kisotengaina Me to Hikari no Hanashi (Story of amazing eyes and lights)” (published by Raichosha), and others.
