Author’s Information

Born in 1978 in Okinawa, Japan. Lives and works in Tokyo. Graduated from The Jikei University School of Medicine and a board-certified physician of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine.
In 2011, won the 4th Shimada Shoji's Bara no Machi Fukuyama Mystery Literature Newcomer Award for "Raison d'etre"; in 2012, made his debut with "Who is the Blade for" (published in 2007 as "Raison d'etre"); in 2003, "Masked Ward" won the Keibundo Grand Prize. Nominated for the Honya Taisho Award five times for his novels "Embracing Her Collapsing Brain", "Hitotsumugi no Te", "Mugen no i (1 & 2)", "Murder in the Glass Tower", and "Houkago Mystery Club 1: Goldfish Swimming Pool Incident".
His signature work, the "Takao Ameku" series, has garnered overwhelming support from a wide range of generations. He has other many books, including "How to Keep a Gentle Shinigami", "Jikan Fuu", "Real Face", "Kikai-jikake no Taiyo", "Inori no Karte", and "Tonari no Nurse Aide".
He is one of the most popular mystery writers today.
