Abstract

Since the declaration of the state of emergency due to the Covid pandemic in April 2020, Machiko Kyo has been carefully and quietly depicting the people and the city under the situation which social distance has become the norm. She has drawn from a perspective that gently accompanies those who are working hard.
This book is a collection of works like a year-long diary filled with the thoughts of manga artist Machiko Kyo.

Author’s Information

Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts and Setsu Mode Seminar. Machiko Kyo has been active as a writer and illustrator since she was student, and her one-page manga series ""Sennen Gahou"", which she started on her blog in 2004, gained popularity through word of mouth. Her serialized works in magazines include ""Mikako-san,"" ""Cocoon,"" ""Anone,"" and many others. She is known for her transparent, blue-based color works about adolescent boys and girls, and also does a lot of illustration work.
