Abstract
A blissful reading experience is guaranteed in Yuzaburo Otokawa’s latest work.
In 1980, Hiroyuki and Yuko meet at a university campus. As a translator and simultaneous interpreter, they drift about on a sea of words as the two of them fight, love, and pass each other by. As the decades pass, they meet again after much suffering. Fate is cruel, yet sad and gentle. Through confrontations over the translation of different languages into Japanese, to their surprise, they wonder if this is a form of love. What does fate have in store for the lives of the two lovers? This is a masterpiece of romance literature.
