Abstract
Whether good or bad, do the things you own weigh you down?
Is your spirit being quashed by something that was supposed to be important?
This is why business and life must start with “throwing away.”
From now on, live without worry.
This is Takafumi Horie’s much-anticipated book about “throwing away.”
From being a hero of his time to arrest and imprisonment, Takafumi Horie became the first person in Japan to successfully launch a privately built rocket in 2019.
Behind all of these events is a replete ideology of “throwing away” and “no ownership.”
Not having things in store just to “throw away” may be what gives you strength.
In this book, Horie takes a long-awaited look at the “starting point” of the first half of his life, from formative experiences in early childhood through to his time at the University of Tokyo and at Livedoor.
While looking toward the future, live in the now with complete devotion, even as you face adversity.
In order to do that, what do you need to throw away? What is it that you absolutely must have?
From life hacks to money, work, and even human relationships, these methods for living happily are optimized for this era in which the concept of “ownership” is breaking down.
