Abstract

On the first page, you see 6 men in orange overalls; they seem to be working with some kind of building materials. Those materials look somewhat familiar……. actually they are the parts of a clothes pin! The miniature men assemble the parts, add a little more and, voila! It resembles a swing! Spread by spread, parts of familiar things such as tooth brush or eye-glasses are assembled. But then they resemble something totally different. Drive under the street lamps made of toothbrushes or dive into the eye-grass swimming pool. The renowned miniature artist T. Tanaka invites you into the miniature wonderland, all made from something you have at home. Enjoy the whole new world seen from the “miniature” point of view! Then try creating your own world where a thing resembles something unexpected.
