Abstract

Kitahara Minami is pushed off a ship by a beautiful woman he meets for the first time when he sets out on a trip across Japan. When he manages to swim to the island, a young man with glasses awaits him and tells Minami that he has “passed”.
The young man who said he would hire him here because he arrived on this island without dying, is Tenma Yunagi, the keeper (owner) of this island, Heaven Island. Claimed from Yunagi, that "From today onwards, you are my servant!" Minami is stunned.
Minami, who started working on the island with the "beast people" such as dogs and birds who live on the island, witnesses Yunagi bathing in the sea at night. Yunagi says that it is a misogi to welcome "guests". Who are these “guests”? And what is this island for? Too many mysteries confuse Minami, but?
