Osamu Dazai's "The Girl Student" has been vividly remixed in the modern age by Kira Imai, an illustrator whose works tickle the hearts of young girls in the humanities, and whose fashion brand Angelic Pretty and other works have won overwhelming support from young girls. All illustrations are newly written and presented in this gem of a collaboration.

Dazai Osamu: Born in Aomori Prefecture in 1909. One of Japan's leading novelists. His representative works include "Shayo", "Ningen Shikkaku", and "Run! Melos". Other works in the "The Maiden's Bookshelf" series include "The Cherry Blossom and the Magic Flute" and "The Fish Clothes Chronicle".

Imai Kira: Born in Hyogo Prefecture. Illustrator. Her work has been featured in fashion brand Angelic Pretty, magazines, and novels. She continues to be supported by Lolita girls for her unrivaled and unique atmosphere.
