A collection of eleven short stories, including not only the title story about the way in which children in a family on the verge of breakdown suffer from being forced to choose between their parents, but also the story about repeatedly moving along the time axis with the use of a time machine, and others. A fanciful and lyrical anthology of short stories overflowing with variety written by a “four-in-one” author with several faces.

Born in 1978. Debut novel 'Summer, Fireworks, and My Corpse' won the Jump Novel/Non-Fiction Award Grand Prize in 1996. In addition to 'GOTH', 'ZOO' and other books written under the penname of Otsuichi, has also written books under the pennames Eiichi Nakata and Asako Yamashiro. Directed and wrote the screenplay for the movie 'Shiraisan' released in 2020.
