Author’s Information
Born in Fukuoka in 1959. Graduated from the Department of Oil Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts, Tokyo University of the Arts in 1983 (recipient of the Ataka Prize and Ohashi Prize). Completed the Master's course at Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School in 1985 (Hanyuide Laboratory). Completed the Doctoral course at Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School in 1988 (Taguchi Yasuo Laboratory). Established Atelier 21 in 1999 (co-directed with Okada Takahiro and Hirota Minoru). Unaffiliated. After teaching at an art prep school, a children's classroom, and a high school, he has taught at the NHK Culture Center and other vocational schools and universities. Member of the Society of Art Anatomy, Tokyo University of the Arts. Held both solo and group exhibitions several times a year.
