Abstract

The popular nine painters fully showcase the sophisticated techniques of inking and brush strokes that create a variety of expressions. The appeal of ink painting is, above all, the expressive sumi-iro and the gradual change of brush strokes. In this book, under the guidance of the nine painters who are currently active, Sho Ito, Koseki Otsuki, Nanko Okamura, Gyokusei Shiozawa, Kaichiro Negishi, Haku Rou, Sennun Fujisaki, Rokkendo Fujiwara, and Yosui Matsui. They explained a variety of techniques for brush strokes with examples of works.
