Abstract

Hana is a novelist who lives with her cat in a traditional old Japanese house on a peninsula not far from Tokyo. Twice divorced, she is getting ready to spend the rest of her life alone, when by chance she reconnects with Tokio, a childhood friend who had once been like a brother to her. Despite both of them having gone through their fair share of loss and setbacks, they grow emotionally and physically close and experience many precious shared moments against the backdrop of the changing seasons.
