Abstract

Professor Fujimaki has devoted his whole life to the study of the weather. His son never liked to study, preferring to draw and paint, but the professor’s grandson is determined to follow in the footsteps of the grandfather he admires. Although the family are not always together in the same place, they are united by life events and family traditions. In each generation, the thinking and the way of life of the people they encounter change and evolve. In a world that is becoming ever more atomized, with ties of family and friendship weakening, these stories remind us just how important relationships with others are.
