Abstract

After completing the first work in 1972, the theme has been to faithfully reproduce the scenery of the "Edo Famous Places". The author's paintings, which warmly watch over people's lives with the eyes of the Edo people, are filled with nostalgia for Edo and remind us of warm feelings. This book contains 30 new works specializing in bird's-eye views unique to the technique of "Meisho-zue". In particular, he also drew the homes and dojos of people who appear in historical novels, such as Heizo Hasegawa and Shusaku Chiba.
