Satoshi Maekawa was born in Kishiwada City, Osaka in 1975. Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the School of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. Currently Chief of the Department of Dietetics and Gastroenterology, Nagano Matsushiro General Hospital. He is a board-certified obesity specialist and advisor to the Japanese Society for the Study of Obesity. Since 2010, he has been conducting "diet hospitalization," a correct weight-loss program combining diet, behavioral therapy, and exercise therapy with carbohydrate restriction. More than 1,000 patients have been hospitalized so far, and 100% of them have succeeded in losing weight. This data was published at the time the book was published)
