Abstract

This book is a collection of questions many people have about sewing, and is easy to understand. It provides detailed explanations with photos, from preparing sewing tools to the basics of hand sewing and sewing machines, how to attach buttons, how to hem, and more. It also includes step-by-step instructions for making potholders and other items suitable for beginners.

Author’s Information

Her real name is Miyuki Kurai. Born in 1949. Aquarius. Originally from Iwate Prefecture. After graduating from Joshibi University of Art and Design Junior College, she became a freelance designer in 1971. From 1987 to 1998, she was an editorial advisor for the magazine Handmade Mama Kiddy. In 2001, she opened her own atelier and started teaching sewing classes at the same time.
