Abstract

The Edo Famous Places Map is a tourist guide to the town of Edo. Introducing shrines, temples, and historic sites with illustrations. This book is the Heisei edition of the Edo famous place map by the author who has longed for Edo since he was a boy and has reproduced the scenery of the town of Edo in a picture. We carefully examine the materials and aim to reproduce the scenery faithful to historical facts. It is mainly drawn from a bird's-eye view, reminiscent of the streets of Edo. Heizo Hasegawa of the Onihei Hankachō also wants to walk while imagining whether he was walking in such a landscape.
