Abstract

Author’s Information

Born in Tokyo in 1960. Author and former senior analyst at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After graduating from the Graduate School of Theology at Doshisha University in 1985, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. In 2002, he was arrested and indicted on charges of embezzlement and obstruction of business by fraudulent means, and in 2009, he was found guilty and given a suspended sentence. In 2013, his suspended sentence expired and the sentence became void. He won the 59th Mainichi Publishing Culture Award Special Prize for "The Trap of the Nation: Called Rasputin of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs" (Shinchosha).
