Abstract
It's realism, but it's not just realism. For some reason my heart shakes. The author depicts nature and people's lives everywhere in Japan. However, the impression of the painter at that time is revived by the delicate depiction, and it captures and shakes the heart of the viewer. In this book, the works are introduced by items such as "light and shadow," "water and flow," "tree and forest," and the works that represent each item are accompanied by explanations on partial enlargement and careful drawing. Also, be sure to check out the column that describes the author's thoughts on watercolor painting, explanations of basic watercolor tools and techniques such as brushes, paints, drawing paper, masking and sketches, techniques and the drawing process covering two examples. This is the first book that can be enjoyed as both an art book and a technique book by a painter who is drawing attention from around the world, such as being introduced in a special feature of French and American art magazines.
