Author’s Information
Born in Toyama Prefecture. Urushi (Lacquer) Manga Artist. Graduated from Takaoka National College (now the Faculty of Art and Design, University of Toyama) majoring in Lacquer Craft, and completed studies at the Ishikawa Prefectural Wajima Institute of Lacquer Arts. After working at a cultural property restoration company and as a craftsperson at a lacquer workshop, he made his debut as a manga artist in 2003. Since then, he has been active in both the lacquer art and manga fields. His authored books include Ouchi de Dekiru Ooraka Kintsugi (Easy At-Home Kintsugi) and Kintsugi Ojisan (Uncle Kintsugi). He runs the "Kintsugi Club" workshop in and around Tokyo, striving to promote the accessible art of relaxed kintsugi.
