Abstract

A popular Buddhist sculpture as a hobby suitable for the age of the heart. Although the author is one of the leading Buddhist priests in eastern Japan, he has been promoting the activities for 30 years, presiding over the "Small Buddha Sculpture Association" so that anyone can gently carve Buddhist statues. In his previous book, "Buddha Sculpture of Yasuragi," he took up two types of Jizo and Kannon as an introductory part, and introduced them in an easy-to-understand manner to beginners by making full use of full-scale color photographs and drawings / patterns. Subsequent books will step up for intermediate level people and introduce authentic small Buddha sculptures with a slightly elaborate halo and pedestal. The statue took up the three bodies of Amida Nyorai, Yakushi Nyorai, and Kanzeon Bosatsu, and posted delicate explanations, many process photographs, drawings, and patterns. Since the photo of the work shows the key points in full size, you can carve it while comparing it with the work you are actually working on. It was also convenient to purchase tools and materials.
