Abstract

Isao Okano (Tokyo Olympic middleweight gold medalist) won the traditional All-Japan Judo Championships twice, despite being a small athlete with a height of 171 cm and a weight of 70 kg. Here is "judo to win", not "to not lose". Almost 40 years after its publication, "Vital Judo", which has been read as "the Bible of Judo technical books", has been revived in a new and revised version. We didn't dare to add the technical page. Instead, the cover has been renewed with the original version. In addition, a new recording of "History of Judo from the Viewpoint of Referee Rules (Rules)" (written by Isamu Nakamura), which gives a bird's-eye view of what kind of referee rules (rules) have been modified from the Kodokan to the present.
