Abstract

This is a book on how to make a doggy brooch, knitted in amigurumi. The main part of the brooch is knitted for the face, and then the animal's fur is brought into shape by either planting or unravelling the woollen yarn. The realistic amigurumi brooch makes use of the characteristics of the woollen yarn and makes a very cute item to attach to clothes or bags.

Author’s Information

Amigurumi artist. She makes original amigurumi dolls to order, capturing the features of her beloved dogs while deforming them into a cute, deformed form. She is particular about details and tries to make her creations unique to her. Runs the amigurumi class "Monpappi" in Ginza and Kichijoji. Since 2016, she has held a solo exhibition every year in March. Graduated from the Japanese Painting Department of Tama Art University.
